Dr. Reese Bulmash is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with specialized training in Primary Care Sports Medicine. He completed his fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he served as a team physician for Jackson State University and Millsaps College. Prior to that, Dr. Bulmash completed his Internal Medicine residency at UMMC and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In addition to his roles as an emergency room attending at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA Medical Center in Jackson, Dr. Bulmash has also served as a Hospitalist at Merit Health Madison. His diverse experience spans emergency care, inpatient medicine, and outpatient sports medicine, with a strong focus on treating athletes and active individuals of all ages.
A former Division I football athlete and national powerlifting record holder, Dr. Bulmash brings personal passion to his professional focus on movement and performance. He has presented research on sports-related injuries and continues to stay active in academic medicine and community outreach, including volunteer roles with local high schools and the Jackson Free Clinic.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bulmash is an avid powerlifter, chess player, and outdoor enthusiast. He holds multiple firefighting and rescue certifications, including experience with search and rescue at Yellowstone National Park.
